Fashionable Approach

Posted on | April 25, 2011 | 1 Comment

Here it comes, wishes come true. I finally pictured my style in the eyes of the camera. I think my goals are defined, I always wanted a fashionable approach toward felting. I want to make it wearable by that girl sitting in the corner of a fine dining restaurant. I want her to look chic, fashionable and expensive. I want her to look sophisticated. Why not with Felt? Why not using a medium that comforted humans thousands of years ago?

The following dress is hand made with wool, silk and cotton.

  • About Me

My name is Hamideh Abol, I am a designer/ textile artist located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Shefelt.ca is my blog where I write about my life, my inspirations, and my everyday challenges as a designer. Term "Felt" in shefelt refers to a non-woven cloth that is produced by matting, condensing and pressing woolen fibres and that is the main medium for my designs. I hope you enjoy my website.
